The 2019 Red Pessac-Léognan Les Hauts de Smith is a model of balance and suavity, pushed by a majority of Merlot grapes. It is an expressive and gourmet wine, which is already very pleasant to drink, with notes of juicy cherry and black fruits mixed with sweet spices, cocoa, and pepper. The ample, unctuous, and silky palate remains perfectly fresh and playful, forming a highly seductive wine with smooth tannins.Vinification:
Hand harvested. Double sorting and destemming of the berries. Fermentation in vats. Aged for 14 months in barrels (20% new wood) made at the château.Certified organic agriculture.
